It’s been said that superheroes live in the hearts of little heroes fighting big battles. We could not agree more and that is why we are so honored to have recently donated 50 HERO Blanket gift sets to Tuft’s Children’s Hospital (@tuftsmedicalcenter) in partnership with @starlightchildrensfoundation.

Here is what Allie from the Child Life Services team at Tufts shared: “Thank you so much for the donation; the HERO blankets are absolutely gorgeous!! Pictured here is Bridget, our NICU child life specialist and Bob, Tufts Children’s Hospital’s facility service dog. We will be giving these blankets to our patients and their families. The blankets truly have magic in them: they provide normalcy, color to a room, comfort, and safety.”

Six years ago today in the early morning hours of 1/18/15, we sat around Ryder’s bedside in the ICU at @bostonchildrens and said our last goodbyes to Ryder as he left his earthly body. Today will always hurt our hearts, but today on Martin Luther King Day, we choose to find hope and strength in these words and stay focused on moving forward to make a difference and spread joy and inspiration in the world in Ryder’s name. #mlk #rgb #wemissyouryder #resilience #findtheorangelining #perservere #keepmovingforward #mlkday

We are right there with all of you when we say peace out 2020. What a surreal year. Our heart goes out to everyone who has felt tragic loss, heartbreak, loneliness, hardship and overwhelm this year. Our gratitude goes out to the all of the healthcare workers, essential workers, educators and frontline workers who have sacrificed so much to selflessly give and care for others. And we have so much gratitude for each and everyone of you in the Orange Lining community who have continued to support us and cheer us on and make it possible for us to keep on with our mission of spreading comfort, joy and hope to little heroes everywhere in honor of our forever hero Ryder Gordon Brown.

As we look to the year ahead, we choose to hold onto hope that through the lessons we learned this year we can carry forward and continue to build a beautiful world for our children to learn, love and rejoice in together.
